Working Equitation Clinic & Schooling Show
June 4, 2023
2023 Clinics: April 23, June 4, July 9
2023 Schooling Show September 9-10
Registration is now open for our April 23 clinic. Two-hour sessions will be held at the Lake Oswego Hunt Club. Warm up for the first session will start at 7:30, with 8 am ride time. Last session will end by 3 pm.
Here’s a chance for you to learn about a growing equestrian sport that is open to all breeds of horses and both English or Western styles of riding. All types of horses – from seasoned dressage schoolmasters to your favorite trail horse have a place in Working Equitation (WE). This sport combines the finesse and geometry of dressage, the challenge of various obstacles, and the adrenaline rush of a speed round! Talk about a ton of fun with your horse and friends….. Well that is WE in a nutshell!
Our April clinic will be taught by Debbie Parshall, owner of Harmony Ridge Equestrian Center and experienced WE coach. Debbie’s clinics are a fun and friendly way to introduce you and your horse to the obstacles of WE, to work on improving what you may already have started on your own, or to help elevate your skills for competition. Debbie will teach you the correct way to complete each obstacle, how to approach and depart from obstacles, and how to navigate a course of obstacles in a way that fosters relaxation for horse and rider.
Cost for the clinic is $150 per rider. Payment and registration are required in advance. Click HERE to learn more and register. All riders must also complete a medical release form, which can be emailed to showmanager@loequestrian.org or printed and brought to the clinic.
