TCTC’s Summer Pony CARE Camp

3-Day, Fri. Aug. 23 – Sun. 25; 10 am – 3pm Sun. until Noon (optional Sat. night camping, with parent or guardian), $340   

INCLUDING HANDS – ON:

• Models, coaches and horses to focus on Equine Communication & Energy
• Feeding, Care and Braiding
• Safe Horse Handling on the Ground with a demonstration on Working at Liberty (using no equipment)
• Physiology & Anatomy
• How to Help Hold your Horse when the Vet Arrives
• Nature Treks exploring animal sounds, tracks, species & habitat in our Wildlife Corridor; ponds with snails, frogs, Eastern Gambusia (they eat mosquitoes!), water striders and lily pads (with a microscope to see bugs & things up close!) 
• Gardens (with a TRAIN that smokes, chugs, clangs and whistles!)
• Å Greenhouse PROJECT for Food & Fun activities with Make-Your-Own fresh herb aroma therapy sachets)
• Unique Arts and crafts using natural fibers and “found” objects
• Creative games with the ponies, of course!
• Å little work, MUCKING the pastures, to keep them clean and free of pesky flies!

3-DAY CAMPS ALSO INCLUDE:

• A family campfire potluck dinner and “show”; a Saturday night overnight campout (with parent or guardian)
• Complimentary continental breakfast
• Ån after dark Moonwatch with Chuck Rahe, “Starman Extraordinaire” sharing powerful telescopes, amazing photographs and fascinating discoveries (weather permitting)
• Getting to help feed and groom a horse “Just one more time…”
